We aim to provide, as much as possible, ongoing financial and humanitarian support, ideally with at least annual visits. Bearing in mind this is 100% voluntarily based, the amount of time needed to complete things may be long and the amount of money raised may be minimal, but every little bit helps. We feel very strongly that by contributing in a manner that is not only compassionate, but also ethical, educational and sensitively appropriate, is crucial to the future success and development of people and places. A sustainable, aware and rational approach is needed if communities are to become stronger, lives are to be improved and ultimately people are to become happier.

We want the local people to be the leaders, taking responsibility for the decisions that they make. We are only there to provide a little material assistance. We also endeavour to acknowledge as much as possible that Globalisation (as is being vigorously pursued by the West) in all its many forms, may not always be what's best for many communities, and therefore we try to understand that other factors apart from just simple wealth creation are important. Stimulus at a local level is how benefits can be made in a cultural, economic or personal way. Once again, we aim to achieve these things through compassion and listening.

A great thing about this program is that any money raised is 100% used for the children of the Orphanage. Monies are not sent via large institutions, but rather directly taken to the Orphanage and spent in Nepal by the attending volunteer participant. Through constant liaison with the people directly at the Orphanage we can pre-determine specifically what you/us will be doing and the money is spent appropriately. It’s a great way to also boost the local economy.

So, there are a number of ways you can help:

Make a donation. If you would like to do this, please contact us.
Visit or Volunteer at the Orphanage. We can provide you with information about when to go, what you can do, who to contact. Basically any advice you may like to know.
Correspond your trip with one of our visits therefore enabling us to hopefully create more, give more and support more.

We must stress that we are only facilitators. We are here to help and hopefully raise awareness. If you decide to visit, you are 100% responsible for your trip and the things you do in Nepal. But we can provide lots of useful tips and give you an indication of what you may be doing to help.
